I got up, made a chocolate cake and then drove to Carsington Water to do the circular path. It's a good walk, if you don't do it too often, and I got halfway round before it began raining, so only four wet miles! I stopped at the visitors centre for tea, soup and a roll and butter.

I called at Tesco on the way home, not that it was, as I'd forgotten to get icing sugar for the cake. A cherry on top and sprinkles finished it off - it's my son's birthday tomorrow!
