A Braw Day

What fun I had with a group of children that I was repsonsible for for the morning - I turned up with the bag of merino tops, beads, sequins, needles and coloured threads.

They had a blast felting, talking incessantly of fun and learning new things (skills) and even "I know mine is one colour but I have 4 plans for it already!" Love it!

They learned to card and blend fibres as well as about staple lengths and scales (thanks Ange!) and were so very interested.

The morning flew by and here are their end products.

They also made "gonks" with carded fibre and stuck googly eyes and feet on! As I left there was talk of writing a play and giving the gonks character parts as well as making an animation!

I rest my educational case.

Had a very satisfying day all round.

Susan, Emily and Kate were with M&D for lunch at the yacht club today and a salad supper this evening. Many laughs and so great to see their very happy and fun photos.
