Speckled Wood

Only the second Speckled Wood that I've seen this year, and the first on campus.

After a cool start, the day grew sunnier and warmer and I had fleeting glimpses of Small White, Orange-tip and Green Hairstreak along with plenty of Small Tortoiseshells at various spots on the way home. Let's hope the finer weather stays for the bank holiday weekend.
