Still winter here!

at Coignafearn, which translated means one fifth of the Alders, relating to the size of the estate. It was very cold with an icy wind blowing, but moving briskly and not stopping too often to take pictures solved that. There were two large herds of feral goats, nannies and kids, which is always good to see. The bird life included Ravens, Kestrels, Oystercatchers, Chaffinches and Meadow Pipits. The ground is still winter washed, with Vole tunnels showing now that the snow has gone. There were several Voles still running on the surface, perhaps not having realised yet!
Much warmer at home, with the Thrush singing in the Rowan from first light. Greenfinches and Goldfinches moved in today.
