Outside - inside

Thank you for your kind birthday wishes.  I had a very pleasant day.

Damp dog walk this morning.  After breakfast headed into town to meet Anna for coffee at a converted chapel Michaelhouse.  We sat near the stained glass window  - extra.

Anna gave me a delightful Everyman Pocket hardback of poetry by Edna St Vincent Millay and some chocolate.  We frequently exchange books and chocolate as birthday gifts.

We had a great catch up over cappuccino.

Meanwhile it was pouring outside.  I have got wet 4 times today.  Clearly not put off by the weather.  It's going to be a week of wellies and waterproofs.

Made tomato and vegetable soup for dinner later.

Been enjoying Dectectorists.   Beautifully written, charming series.
