Horse Chestnut Bud

This morning I waited until it had stopped raining before going to the village shop to return a parcel. One hundred metres from my from door and it started to rain again, but I decided to continue. Today’s picture was taken on my iPhone as I walked along my “one street”.
 
I spent much of the morning and some of the afternoon writing my presentation for the u3a photography group. It is not until May, but as I have known about this since before Christmas, I thought it was time I got started.
 
The temperature at noon today was eight degrees Celsius; it has rained on and off all day.
