Angry owl!

This is either Boston or Spa, two owls which are kept at the Cawood Garden Center, and café.
We wondered why it suddenly displayed it's feathers like this and looked very angry, but when we turned round, saw that a couple had brought their dog quite close. Although on a lead the owl clearly didn't like the look of it!

Just managed to get this photo without showing the wire netting.

Have been for our first asparagus from the farm. It is at least 2-3 weeks late this year, and not growing too well either.

Can't wait to have it for tea!
When it is this fresh all it needs is lightly boiled with plenty of butter.

We went down to the river again at Naburn, and I'm afraid there was no sign of the goose which I blipped on it's nest. see here
Two large eggs had been left on their own, at the side of the nest. abandoned nest and another couple of riverside photos.

Another beautiful afternoon for a walk along the river.
Then had a walk round part of RSPB Fairburn Ings.

The countryside at its best today, so fresh and green.
