From my window
The main picture is the view across the sunlit Firth of Forth to the Bass Rock and the hills of East Lothian. I hope you can make out all the wind turbines on the skyline. They are about 20miles away. The Bass Rock is the world's largest gannet colony; I saw the first gannets of the season today.
The first extra is the Isle of May in afternoon sunshine. The second extra is St Abbs Head which is 30 miles away and usually difficult to see. Even in good visibility, there are refraction effects close to the sea surface which make the headland appear to be detatched from the mainland (it's not), and to have a gap underneath it.
Thanks to KangaZu for hosting Mono Monday.
