The end

It's been a day of beautiful endings. This afternoon I was at a funeral for a man who had had an amazing impact on so many people's lives and if anyone doubted that the 400+ people who turned up for his funeral would each have a story to tell. I was taken by the eulogies all of which spoke of their belief that the world would be a wonderful place if everyone was a bit more like the guy who's funeral it was. What a testament to a life well lived, sadly not for long enough! 
When I came home I managed a spot of gardening encouraged by the blue sky and the lovely stories I had heard. These tulips, which I have been keeping on the sideboard for ages, I thought captured my mood well, beautiful even in their parting.
