Amongst the foliage

Camassia - or at least that is what I am told it is - found hidden amongst the foliage on this island bed in the back lawn.

Apparently they are an edible bulb and were a staple amongst native American Indians. I had completely forgotten they were there, but when I saw them today against the golden leaves of the Acer Brilliantissimo I thought they were worth a blip, especially as they will probably be over by the time we return from our short 'overseas' trip next week!
