Thumbs up Day

Mother’s Day was last week but today l got my treat from Tim.
We caught the train from Hebden Bridge to Manchester and went to the Band on the Wall club to see Sarah Jane Morris ( you might remember her from The Communards in the 80s) and the Solis String Quartet perform All You Need is Love : all Beatles songs reimagined.
A matinee show and it was fabulous.
We then went to sample some craft beers at two local breweries: Track Brewing and then Cloudwater.
Luckily you can buy 1/3rd of a pint measures so we tried a few different ones between us in a mini tasting session.
Then we went to see Tim’s current favourite DJ Daniel Avery playing a five hour set as part of Manchester Music festival . We could only stay an hour but l danced the whole time.
We then got the train home to Tim’s.
Adele was already back from her girly weekend away and we swopped stories over a cup of tea. 
I’m now in bed, too tired to do anything but post my blip but what a fabulous time l had, a day to remember.
