Yellow vase

This was one of 10 of these vases filled with daffodils that adorned the tables in our church hall today.

We were celebrating the retiral of our remarkable session clerk Miss D who has carried out her duties for well over 20 years - and she celebrated her 90th birthday a few years ago !! 

Probably one of the best know characters in our town she was a language teacher when I was at the local secondary school  and later became deputy rector.
