A small birthday miracle
My fifty-seventh birthday began with a small birthday miracle: when I got out of bed, my knee didn't hurt or twinge AT ALL! That's the first time in what must be over a year now. I must stick with these physio exercises!
I had a birthday breakfast with the Minx, whose presents to me included the book in my Extra, which will be useful this coming week, and also the card, which, says 'Happy Birthday' in ASCII. It was such a thoughtful bit of research by her: thirty years ago, that was a big part of my working life!
The MInx had Mothers' Day lunch planned with the miniMinx, so Abi and I walked along to pick up Hannah, and then the three of us proceeded to Crazy Pedros where we met Charlie and my niece, Phoebe, for pizza and drinks.
After that we went down to the Oast House and, after a few drinks there, we moved on to Joule where we met the Minx, miniMinx, and Yoss. By the time we reached Porta, we were down to just me, Hannah, and Yoss, but still chatting and laughing. It was a lovely way to celebrate the day.
And with all the walking, my knee did twinge a bit but I still think it's a good sign!
