Catching up

We arrived after a busy morning packing the car and a largely peaceful journey. There was just one incident north of Newcastle where E woke, desperate to get "outy" and to be at "Granny's house." I thought a packet of chocolate buttons (and The Animal Boogie) were well-timed and in an attempt to stop them melting, I decanted them into one of E's many "pots." This was definitely the wrong thing to do and E went crazy, wanting them in the original packet and holding every button in sight in her hand until all that remained was a dreadful melted mess!

As we left E had exclaimed to me "big, citing Mummy" and it was certainly that. Arriving to open arms, loving family, much missed cuddles, homely familiarities, and the beautiful (recently reshaped) oak tree. A took the opportunity for a real chat with her Grandad as E discovered new toys, several Kids' TV channels, the piano, ate scrambled eggs and treats and was followed and led around by a very doting Granny and later an equally doting, full of fun Auntie Anna and Uncle Michael.

A also met Uncle Tom and Weasa for the first time today.
