Storms
Isn’t life full of them? Tornados left death and destruction in our state last night. We were spared once again but grieving for those who weren’t. The last I heard, 23 are dead and 4 missing. Numbers may be higher now. The largest one I’m aware of was said to be 1 mile wide and tracked 100 miles. This one demolished one town completely and destroyed 2 others. It tracked several miles north of us. We know some survivors, thankfully. It happened at night in a storm so it was “rain wrapped” and hard to see even on radar. Technology is such that many in its path had some warning, but there was nothing to do but get shelter and pray. We’ve seen the devastation left behind by a tornado. It’s unbelievable. The one in our county In 2010 was an EF 5 wedge tornado. The land looked like a war zone. I’ve heard last nights was probably an EF 4 or 5. Please pray for these people. They are getting help but the trauma will take years to resolve. However, Southerners are resilient. We put our grown people pants on, dig down, and help each other.
God will get glory from even this.
Be blessed, Blip Family.
