An old friend from high school and her husband have come to stay for the weekend, as part of a whisky tour of Scotland. Before they came over they asked what I missed from home and I gave my standard silly response of Kraft Dinner. They took me at my word and brought 18 boxes of the stuff. That will see me out! 

For those of you unfamiliar with KD, it’s classic artificial food from the 70s that Canadian kids grew up on. It’s not gourmet, and the cheese powder has an unnatural colour for cheese, but it has sentimental value. I imagine Frey Bentos may have a similar reaction for people in Britain.
