Sowing and Transplanting

Helen has been sowing and transplanting today while I have been watering, potting and putting down.
After watering this morning had to repair one of the heater flues in the bottom block.
The conveyer belt from the main transplanter had been making a terrible noise so yesterday we removed the motor and gearbox along with the final drive and checked the bearings.Bearings fine, new grease nipple needed, cleaned everything and put it all back together.Still noisy.The problem is the whole weight of the drive hangs from the main shaft with no support and as it all turns it sends vibrations through the whole thing.We improvised by using a piece of timber to reduce the load and today it has worked beautifully.

The pic shows Marigold seedlings going through one of the transplanters and the extra is a trolley full ready for putting down.
