The sky was dark as we passed Cockenzie Harbour and soon it started to rain just offshore.  A feint rainbow began to appear over the sea and then the proverbial “pot of gold” appeared to be just off the entrance to Port Seton Harbour.  As we watched a group of courting eider ducks swimming past the Links, the rainbow was disappearing in the distance while the heavy rain obscured the Fife coast.
