How to escape the rain

Go into a fabric shop… or several.
I met up with two hat friends today and we had a wonderful time in Goldhawk Road - I don’t think we even went to 1/4 of the shops, but we came back with some special treasures. We’re the sort of people who rummage in the remnant baskets- in one shop, the owner let us look through old sample books they hadn’t yet deconstructed and we got perfect sized pieces for millinery. I’m saving some for future blips!

It’s very special when we meet up as we’re all from different places in England , but all on a similar millinery journey, with quite different styles and colour preferences, so fortunately we don’t argue much over remnants!
