Pink Shell.
Everybody has gone into town. The dogs are in the garden, except of course the old boy occasionally returns to lie at my feet. I think it is cupboard love as much as anything else! Anyway, has given me a bit of time to do my own thing.
Although this looks a bit like a nineteenth century ceramic tile, it's not. I have a collection of very small shells and stones that I picked up on various beaches over the years. Some of them have very strong memories associated with them. There's one that I was given by a guy in my class at school, another that was picked up on a beach in San Diego in the 90's and many from the time I've spent rock pooling with K and the kids. Anyway, they are all too small to blip successfully on their own. So, I took a macro of a tiny cowrie which was no more than 1cm long. Then I copied, pasted, transformed and flattened the image many times before I came up with this.
