Waves at Crail

A short visit to the picturesque village of Crail this afternoon. Down by the harbour, my eye was caught by the waves breaking against the cliff below the castle. The harbour itself was behind me. Looking at the image afterwards, I realised that the stone wall in the left foreground is one of the type of traditional harbour walls built of stone blocks without mortar but with wooden wedges hammered in.
The extra shows an artist who had found a good viewpoint.
