High Tide

From the sublime to the ridiculous at the beach today. On Tuesday when we swam at 8am, the sea was 50 yds beyond the pole carrying the 4th Groyne sign it is just possible to see in the photo. Today we decided to swim at 4pm when it was high tide and we found the sea almost up to the sea wall leaving little space to change.

Rather than walking almost to Fife to get submerged, we were out of our depth a few yards into the water. It was exhilarating and cold but the sun shone despite the shower on the horizon giving rise to a rainbow.
