Borrowdale Hotel

Farewell to the Borrowdale Hotel this morning, we’ve had a very nice stay, the only complaint is too much food, I just couldn’t face a cooked breakfast before leaving today.

It was raining again but there were some patches of blue sky and the fells were clear but as soon as we got onto the M6 south there was an absolute deluge. I hate motorways in that weather.

We were on the M6 not because we were going home but heading down to the SW as Grace is putting on a school production of Matilda for her students BTec performance tonight and tomorrow and John has had to go to London over night.

Granny and Boppa to the rescue!

Leaving the North we left the rain and it was quite fine through the Midlands, then onto the M5 near Worcester and the heavens opened again all the way to Bath.

Think we’ve seen enough rain I’m sure they can’t be still complaining about a shortage of water in the rivers and reservoirs.
