Outpatients

Tameside Hospital Outpatients skylight in a very high roof.

New signs were being put up and almost everyone wearing masks (including me) even in corridors. Three years on. A day of remembrance but it’s not gone away. I am told that other hospitals are not asking patients to wear masks - more confusion.

I spent only 35 minutes in the hospital with no more than 3 minutes talking to Consultant

In contrast I spend almost an hour in the opticians two days ago with not a mask in sight and in close contact with three people. The Optometrist was new and wonderful and made me fell much more relaxed. He even shook hands and said “pleased to met you”- it was like a throwback to better times. Two days later what a contrast. if I have caught COVID this week which visit will I blame.

The weather on the way to the Hospital was like the end of the world dark clouds Very heavy rain showers and thunderstorm.

Returning home was in brilliant sunshine and I saw a Rainbow with the deepest colours I can ever remember
