The Kilted Storyteller

Off to Easterhouse today, to the very brilliant Platform at the Bridge. Stunning day for a walk from Easterhouse Station to Platform (though I was tempted to stay on the train to Balloch) & happily our meeting room was cool & perfect - with a view out over the busy library. The incomparable Dr Donald Smith was our chair today, resplendent in his kilt - not for our benefit really, for a speaking engagement later today! Brilliant discussion - really clever people talking about really clever things. Inspiring journey back through West Lothian to Edinburgh in the sun.

Less inspired on returning home to a 'Call Leith Police asap' note through the door...apparently a 'disturbance' nearby last night. Now wondering if what sounded like wheelie bins being moved about was actually something more sinister...

Re-inspired by watching the Town programme on BBC2 - with Oban being shiny.

Time for more Buffy to block out the badness...
