Havelock, Pelorus Sound

'The Greenshell Mussell Capital' it maybe but as I don't like shellfish... 

Our plan for today was to pop along the Queen Charlotte Drive and visit Moetapu Bay overlooking Double Bay. Unfortunately the road to the bay was closed except to residents. Queen Charlotte Drive was open but had quite a few repairs for slips and general works. 

I took my main Blip of Havelock from Cullen Point Lookout. 

Our next choice was to backtrack to Pelorus Bridge where we had lunch yesterday. On our way a police car rushed past us and when we arrived at the bridge there were 3 marked police cars and a couple of unmarked cars. The traffic bridge was open but the pedestrian bridge and riverside walks had been taped off. Local news reports an unfortunate incident. 

My extra is a college taken around the harbour and town. Tomorrow we will joining the local postie on their deliveries.
