Reluctant feeder
What a lovely day I’ve had, filled with lots of different, enjoyable experiences. It started with a gentle coffee meet up that quickly turned into a very successful couple of hours planning our Easter Monday event at the Community orchard. As I was leaving, I was given the opportunity of meeting the two newest additions to K and M’s “family”. One of them is the subject of my blip, a lovely wee kid just over two weeks old. This one seems very reluctant to feed and K and I were treated to a milky shower in the process of trying to get warm milk into the wee creature’s stomach.
In the afternoon N and I had to call in to check the house of friends who are away from the island for a couple of months. They were a bit concerned about possible effects of the power cuts that affected most of the north of the island on Monday. However, all was well when we checked the freezer and various timers they had left in place.
While we were there, we took the opportunity to walk with Bertie along a track that we had never taken before. Along the way, we came across two very different trees growing in unusual ways. We will certainly return another day as it is interesting to see a part of the island from a different perspective.
