Set up

The downside of a new phone is that everything has to be checked and reset or passwords retrieved etc. Although most things just swung over from the cloud, I did find some glitches that took a while to sort out.
Managed to catch up on some admin and worked through my To Do list of things that had accumulated over recent days, all whilst waiting for the engineer coming to replace the motor in my microwave. Slightly irritated that when he arrived he had the wrong part so couldn’t mend it. No idea when it will get done now, grr!
Nipped down to Blackwells to buy an anniversary and birthday card for the next few days and found a young woman sobbing quietly amongst the book stacks. Bought her some hot chocolate and a bacon roll in the cafe and we had a chat about what she can do next in the face of her sudden homelessness. Good to have the time to help…
Home and dealt with some more stuff then had a call with Apple support to learn more about the new phone. Part of what they did was walk me through some of the camera features and I took several photos and videos as we talked - this was one of them using the macro feature.
Nipped down to schmooze a bit with guests at the opera interval, then home to eat more leftovers from Monday.
