Red Door, Red Eye

I walked around all day with a baffling red eye. Bright red, with no other symptoms. Just troubling enough to wreck plans for the day in case it's something catchy. Sent in pictures, advice nurse questioned me very thoroughly, said to use allergy eye drops containing ketotifen. 
We walked to the library to return a book and that took us past The Perch tavern with its red side door.
