As we approached the walled garden at Dumfries House my friend and I were saying how we thought they were looking for volunteers for the garden. We both agreed it would be a nice thing to do.
A while ago on a television programme you saw volunteers clearing the site which is enormous in real life.
Today there were JCBs and other machinery around so Pat and I decided by the time they need us to weed we'd be too old bend down or to get back up.
Being the physio, she assured me bending would be better for me than sitting all day!
