Caught in the act....

As I left the study after another long day,  movement in the pond caught my eye.

It was alive with frogs racing backwards and forwards , seeking it seemed to collide with any mate they could.   I managed to get a fair few shots of the commotion (I have added an extra photo which appears to include a shark fin too !)   but this one perhaps got as close as any to illustrating the mating frenzy underway.  

A touch of sunshine helped but the forecast for tomorrow is very poor, which is a pity as I will have to drive to  Edinburgh at some stage.
