Bird hide

In the afternoon I went with Peter to Nieuwe Statenzijl for some photography. We ended up in the famous bird hide named "Kiekkaaste" (to be translated as 'viewing box' ) at the German border, the only one in the Netherlands that is situated outside the dike. To get there you have to walk over a 300 meter long boardwalk. Rather narrow, and at some points you definitely don't want to fall off it. You'd be waist deep in the mud I you did.
