Apologies for the grim pic.

Barley,my parents African Grey parrot objected to me objecting to his nibbling of my clothes. The result of this difference of opinion is evident. He successfully grabbed my arm and twisted the skin in the process. Remarkably through two layers of clothing, which remain intact! It was excruciatingly painful.

Preening of other parrots is natural in the wild and parrots love a drama so all things considered I remained (sort of) calm though when I hit my pain thresh hold, ie pain travelling the length of my arm I did shout no!

Still. Could have been worse. My friend Cheryl woke up the other night with wet feet. A definite protest wee courtesy of her cats. Think I'd rather take the bite.
