Botanical Gardens

I went to the Heilongjiang Botanical Gardens yesterday hoping to see some pretty things and have a peaceful day. Well, it worked. I had a lovely day with my friends and felt very much at peace. In a Chinese city of 10 million I'm finally discovering where to go where no cars go and everyone is having a happy playful day.

I realized yesterday at the gardens that it's a bit early in the season for tons of flowers. The bulb plants have finished their blooms and the others haven't all sprung to life yet.

I love water and finding this perfect little pond area was a great treat. I spotted this frog hovering in the crystal clear water and just loved it. Although there were many photos to choose from I couldn't stop from posting froggy.
