Monkey chased the weasel

Since I moved here 3 springs ago, I have not been able to identify this giant tree/bush in my yard. I have asked many people and sent pictures of it to different 'experts' and gotten just as many speculations. I have come very close to cutting it down because it is such a pain to mow under plus it looks very skeletal and ugly in the winter. I did not because it is my only tree-like structure in the yard itself and it also hides a spot that previous inhabitants of this house used as a junk pile (which, despite tireless efforts to clear it out, it is still not safe for the mower and involves very tedious trim-work and weed-pulling) from view of the street.

Well.... this year the 'bush' made berries, so I am at last able to identify that this is, in fact, a mulberry tree. Giant bush has value! Yay! And they are pretty damn good berries, too! And destined for wine. Of course. :D

BTW, nobody EVER guessed mulberry. They grow wild, apparently, and why it chose the middle of my yard I will never know.
