Cloudy sky on the equinox

Today is the autumn equinox in New Zealand. It was a very cloudy morning and although I was primed to stop somewhere on my way to work, for a photo of the sunrise, dark clouds blocked any sight of the rising sun. Not long after I arrived at work, I looked out the window, almost to the north. Saw this and it's not a bad image to go with the weather we've had recently

I wonder if there’s anything magical that comes from reaching a milestone (4,500 consecutive days) on the day of the autumn equinox.
