A Day without the Internet!

The Internet went down three times today so spent most of day reading Mary Midgley's 'Utopias, Dolphins and Computers'.  I must've bought it around the time it was published - 1996 - and dipped into it many times over the years.  I decided to reread Chapter 9 'Is a Dolphin a Person?'  -  seems a Court of Law decided it wasn't! I do try to turn philosophical conversation into more everyday language  -  without success, I fear  - I usually ended up with more questions!  For instance, how would Midgley view Robots today?  Are they persons?
