The celebrations continue...

Woodford Lodge, Chew Valley Lake

A visit today from my Dad’s youngest sister and her son, who had driven my Aunty up from Devon so that she could take Dad out for a belated 94th birthday celebration. We had a lovely lunch overlooking the lake, even though the weather was rather grey and wet. 

It was good to have a proper talk with my cousin (one of 15!), the first we’ve really ever had as, as is the way with far flung families, we only ever meet up at funerals these days. I now have an open invitation for a break in Devon, another invite to add to the growing list of offers. Now I just need cover and the opportunity...
