Beetle Prepares to Jump from Soldier Orchid
This tiny little green beetle (upper right of flower) looks dwarfed on a plant that is only 10 centimetres high. Orchis militaris - is called after its rounded helmet-like petals at the top of the individual flowers. Soon our village's wild orchids will go underground for another year or the cows will eat them all!
Large is Definitely best!
Thanks for the enthusiastic response in hearts and stars for the dandelion clock mandala yesterday, I was amazed and delighted of course.
