Custard Pie

The Bakewell Baking Festival which I'm one of the organisers of has a Mr Darcy - Pies and Prejudice custard pie event has recently generated a lot of national media interest.
We've been in the Daily Telegraph, Daily Star and on various local and national radio stations.
The reason for this is that we can't get insurance and it's a classic case of world gone mad which the media have picked up on.
Today there was a photo shot where the Sheffield Telegraph sent a photographer into Bakewell to get a picture so I suggested why not 'pie me'.
It was great I've never been pied and as crazy as it sounds I really enjoyed it and I can say from my own personal experience it's great fun and as far as I'm concerned there should be a pie fight every day.
Say no to wars and yes to pie fights!
