Lots of deer

Out early. There were five roe deer in this group but one took off as soon as it saw me walking down the road (opposite side to the field)

Then disturbed another by the stream, then found another two wandering the lane once I got up onto flat ground above the railway line.

They took off along the lane then doubled back into the gardens and I disturbed them on my way back again. They took off at speed and joined another two in the field behind the gardens.

Then disturbed a hare which whizzed off before I even had time to blink

What a nice start to the day. Pays to be out and about early
