Love

This was one of the first few pieces of flooring we put down today. As soon as I saw the heart in the “graining” I knew we had chosen the right floor. It’s a giant decision… flooring for the majority of your home. One that we went back and forth on, even this morning when picking up the pallet, we questioned ourselves on this pattern/color.

But this confirms it, and I LOVE the floor. We managed to get the kitchen completed today and depending on how sore we are tomorrow, may keep going into the dining room. It’s a lot of bending, reaching and stretching for middle-agers.

We left a note on the subfloor for whoever remodels this house long after we’re gone. It says “It was just a house, we made it a home” and wrote our names (including Mace).

Hats off to BJ. He continues to impress me with his knowledge and craftsmanship. I couldn’t do any of this without him!
