Alpines

I had a real treat today, a visit to the Alpine Garden Show, which was in Kendal.
There were some very tempting sales tables of course, but the wonderful show plants were extraordinary. So perfect and beautifully presented, they must be real experts.
And then we went to the Lakeland Sinfonia concert in the evening, featuring Patrick Hemmerlé playing the Schumann Piano Concerto which was delightful, and then the Saint Saens symphony no 2 which is rarely heard but very good.
So a lovely day!
