Almond arch
The arch of almond trees over the path is in semi-flower now. I guess each tree is a different variety because they don’t flower at exactly the same time, so the floweryness spreads from one side to the other over time, like a very slow Chinese wave.*
Long lie this morning, then scraping a wall up high for Mr B who has a sore arm. (He was working, just needed a break from the scraping). Then an outdoor lunch of all the wonderful cheeses and a magnificent bread that we only discovered in our baker recently (it’s a pain paysan for when I look back on this and wonder). Bit too hot out there, to be honest.
A couple of quizzes, then inside as the skies darkened to watch all the rugby. And now the bizarre situation of all my French neighbours probably cheering on England against Ireland, as there’s a chance still of France winning. Complicated, this rugby stuff.
*Edit: I meant Mexican wave, obvs. Too much thinking about Chinese walls this week, or firewalls or ethical walls as we are to call them now.
