Family

I gave a surprise visit to my auntie and uncle who, thankfully, were in and free for a cuppa, a Penguin and a chat. 

I didn’t see any penguins at the North Cave Wetlands but I had a wonderful stroll round stopping at all the hides and most of the benches before heading back to Seaside Drive for dinner.

The lakes and feeders were busy but the avocets will be another week or so, the green woodpecker was only noticeable by its call and the tawny owl was still sleeping - but I loved watching the courtship of the black-headed gulls.
