Shot in the dark

A successful round-trip mission to fetch D and another first-year student home from Oberlin for their spring break. M lives nearby so we're carpooling; his family will take the guys back next weekend. W and I shared the driving and, when not driving myself, I got some sleep. There was a beautiful sunrise over the Potomac as we crossed into Maryland, and dark woods of bare walnut, elm and fog. No signs of spring farther north! Overall, a gloomy rainy day, which made the bone-white sycamore trees stand out. 

After we dropped off Max and got home, I took a nice solo walk halfway up the hill. Listened to the wind and the frog choruses.
