Open(ing)

I was spoiled for choice this morning with today's "Open" challenge.

It's a beautiful day, the sun is out, there was a heavy dew last night giving everything a diamond dust sparkle, and the birds are all lost in their lovesick arias. I wandered in the garden, snapping numerous images -- including some of my beloved convertible, Thumbelina, with her top down (ooh la la!). But this luscious rhododendron stole the show. As can be seen, it is just starting to open into full bloom, and to me it epitomizes all the hope and wonder of Spring.
