Kiss me Kate

Shakespeare in Suma - who'd have thought it? This evening I went to a fabulous performance presented by The International Theatre Company of 'The Taming of the Shrew' hosted by a local University. I'm not sure its my favourite Shakespeare play but I'd forgotten how much I missed live theatre and the performance this evening was very good.

A small ensemble cast of six worked hard for the best part of two hours and given that 80% of the audience were Japanese it was no mean feat to so successfully bring Shakespeare to life so visually whilst remaining true to the original language. Best of all it was free! Top night :)

Good theatre anywhere is good for theatre everywhere.
