… which branches off Rue du Tolbiac opposite our street. Traffic is limited to pedestrians, bicycles and trottinets—so it is quiet and relaxing.

Our upstairs neighbors S and B visited us for afternoon tea. Conversation was lively as always. They brought us a special present: a full-sized book “Oxford in Focus
with many photos of the university where my father earned his doctorate as a Rhodes Scholar.
