If you can't beat them...

A Trentham Fairy.

We returned to the  Marina a day earlier than usual as we wanted to visit Trentham Gardens.  The day began with Clickychick taking Solace down to the services berth, where we had the toilet tanks pumped out and the fuel tank refilled ready for the next syndicate members.  Despite the strong wind blowing in exactly the wrong direction she carried out the manoeuvers flawlessly.

So off we went to Trentham Gardens.  Talk about being spoiled for choice with regard to blips.  There were spring flowers, wildlife, carved logs, and of course the fairies.

Trentham Gardens are well known for their stainless steel wire fairy sculptures.  Their "blurb" says there are 21 scattered around.  There was a competition based around finding all 21.  That I think would be quite an undertaking they vary in size and some are very prominent while others are tucked away.  The gardens cover 293 Hectares (725 acres), and there are 259 hectares (640 acres) to a square mile.

This is the first Fairy you see after having left the entrance, she is clinging to the cables which support the bridge over the Trent.
